Job Summary

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be an integral part of our application development team, contributing to the design, deployment, and operational excellence of cloud-native applications. You will work closely with software engineers and Product Manager to build scalable, secure, and resilient system on GCP, with a strong focus on GKE and modern DevOps practices.

This role blends engineering with delivery, ensuring that our application is deployed reliably and efficiently across environments. You will help shape deployment strategies, automate infrastructure, and support the team in building production-grade systems.

Importantly, the best practices, patterns, and automation frameworks developed within the application team will serve as blueprints for broader organizational adoption. You will play a key role in formalizing these practices into reusable, scalable patterns that can be rolled out across other teams and projects, helping to uplift engineering standards company-wide. 

Job Responsibilities

· Collaborate with the other application engineers to define and implement deployment strategies aligned with best practices in cloud-native development.

· Design and build cloud architecture solutions that support application needs, with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.

· Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Atmos to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.

· Manage cloud environments across dev, test, and production, including resource provisioning, network configuration, monitoring, and backup strategies.

· Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to ensure system reliability.

· Maintain clear documentation for deployment processes, system configurations, and operational runbooks.

· Support application teams during audits, security assessments, and disaster recovery exercises.

· Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve deployment efficiency, cost optimization, and system performance.

· Stay current with industry trends in cloud computing, DevOps, and container orchestration.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years in cloud engineering or DevOps roles, with hands-on experience in GCP, AWS, or Azure.

Technical Skills:

· Strong proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and YAML/JSON templates.

· Deep understanding of Kubernetes (GKE preferred) and container orchestration.

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (ADO).

· Python, Java

Security & Operations:

· Experience with cloud security, compliance, monitoring, and cost management.

· Exposure to disaster recovery planning and incident response.

· Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
