Test Lead

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and driven Test Lead to oversee the end-to-end testing lifecycle for a strategic derivatives platform initiative. This role is critical in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of systems across trading, clearing, risk management, and data domains. You will lead a cross-functional testing team, define robust test strategies, and champion automation and innovation in testing practices.  This is a 24-month engagement.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include

• Testing Strategy & Execution

  • Define and implement comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, integration, and automation testing.
  • Lead the testing lifecycle across multiple systems including screen trading, OTC clearing, enterprise data warehouse, risk, and collateral platforms.

• Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with business users, developers, business analysts, and operations to ensure testing aligns with business objectives.
  • Manage offshore and onshore testing teams, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

• Automation & Tools

  • Drive test automation initiatives using tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Promote adoption of AI-driven test case generation and low-code automation platforms.

• Environment & Data Management

  • Ensure production-like test environments and maintain data integrity for accurate validation.
  • Oversee test data setup and environment readiness for various test phases.

• Defect & Quality Management

  • Lead defect triage, prioritization, and resolution in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Provide go-live readiness sign-off and attestation based on test results and risk assessments.

• Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly test progress reports and highlight key risks and issues to project stakeholders.
  • Maintain testing documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

• Continuous Improvement

  • Champion best practices in testing and quality assurance.
  • Conduct internal training and create knowledge-sharing materials to uplift team capabilities.

Job Requirements

Requirements are

• 10+ years in software testing, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience in derivatives, exchange platforms, and financial systems.
• Hands-on with test automation, API testing, and tools like TOSCA, REST, and FIX.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and offshore delivery models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with regulatory audits and compliance testing.
• Ability to drive change and mentor testing teams.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
