Senior Test Engineer, Member Conformance Testing

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to lead and support member conformance testing for post trade systems, including their interfaces and related workflows at SGX. This role involves defining test strategies, test execution, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, deep testing expertise, is hands-on and has experience working in regulated financial environments.
Job Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Planning
- Develop detailed test plans and cases for end-to-end workflow validation across SGX’s post-trade infrastructure for our market participants.
- Ensure alignment of requirements with test scope, entry/exit criteria, and conformance requirements.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and results.
- Execution & Coordination
- Lead test execution in member test environments, through user interfaces, file-based interfaces and APIs with respective test outputs.
- Record test results including test screenshots and test result summary.
- Validate integration points, network configurations, and protocol compliance (including SFTP and REST interfaces).
- Collaboration & Member Interaction
- Facilitate planning sessions, readiness reviews, and issue resolution meetings.
- Support member onboarding and conformance certification activities.
- Participate in relevant project meetings and provide summary on test related updates.
- Prepare daily/weekly test report for project stakeholders on test highlights and progress.
- Create relevant knowledge sharing documentations and conduct internal team training.
- Defect Management & Reporting
- Oversee defect logging, tracking, and resolution using tools like Jira.
- Ensure timely escalation of critical issues and adherence to regulatory audit requirements.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in lead or coordination role.
- Strong communication skills to engage our participants clearly and garner support from internal teams when required.
- Strong understanding of test methodologies, SDLC, and QA best practices.
- Experience in financial services, preferably with post-trade systems.
- Familiarity with member test environments, secure file transfer protocols (SFTP), and network set-up.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and system workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under tight timelines.
- Strong documentation skills for audit readiness and internal knowledge sharing.
- ISTQB or other testing certification(s) preferred.
