Senior Associate, SXO Clearing House

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join Securities Exchange Operations team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain deep exposure to the inner workings of a leading securities exchange and play an integral role in supporting Singapore's capital markets ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Singapore securities market, including equities trading/clearing & settlement workflows, market structure, listed products, and post-listing support processes. Experience gained within an exchange, brokerage, market infrastructure provider, bank or capital markets operations environment will be highly valued.

As a Senior Associate, you will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of exchange operations, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of listings & trading / clearing & settlement capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely execution of daily exchange operations across one or more functional areas, including:
  • Listings and trading operations
  • Clearing & settlement activities
  • New product launches and market readiness activities
  • Support and servicing for issuers and members
• Monitor operational activities and identify exceptions, risks, and issues requiring escalation and resolution.
• Provide operational support during market incidents, new initiatives, and production events within a 24-hour operating environment.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational risk reduction.

• Take the lead and drive the completion of projects and initiatives to develop the securities products and platforms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trading/clearing members, issuers, vendors, banks and other market participants.

• Serve as a trusted operational contact point for stakeholders and provide timely support for market-related enquiries.
• Support team manager and supervisors to build an effective and cohesive team contributing to SGX’s success.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder with minimum 1-4 years of experience in securities market operations.
• Good understanding of Singapore securities market, trading practices, bank operations, listings, trade lifecycle processes, exchange rules, market data services and clearing & settlement.

• Familiarity with exchange systems, trading platforms, market data platforms, or brokerage systems will be an advantage.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex operational problems.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage ambiguity.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Effective stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.

• Strong team player, self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Experience with AI, SQL, VBA, Python, Power BI, or automation tools will be advantageous.
