Job Summary
This role sits within SGX’s International Sales team and supports the development and management of institutional client relationships to promote secondary market activity across SGX’s multi-asset products and services, primarily in Singapore and selected Asia Pacific markets.
The incumbent will support senior team members in driving client engagement, preparing sales materials, and coordinating outreach activities across listed derivatives and securities markets.
This role is suitable for someone early in their career who is eager to build knowledge of financial markets, client management, and product solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop a good working knowledge of SGX’s products (Derivatives and Securities), processes, and rules, with guidance from senior team members.
- Assist in identifying new institutional client opportunities through research, outreach support, and preparing basic client materials.
- Support cross-selling and up-selling efforts by helping to compile product information, analysing client activity, and coordinating follow-up actions.
- Help execute targeted outreach efforts, including supporting event participation, preparing presentation decks, and coordinating meetings with prospects.
- Maintain accurate client records, meeting notes, and follow-up actions using SGX’s internal tools and systems.
- Work with Product Managers to support educational and marketing initiatives by assisting with content preparation and logistics.
- Contribute to client incentive schemes by coordinating data collection, preparing basic analysis, and supporting internal review processes.
- Ensure all activities are performed in line with internal policies, compliance standards, and documentation requirements.
Job Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial services, sales support, client service, or product support roles.
- Basic understanding of equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, and/or derivatives markets; strong interest in learning trading instruments and market structure.
- Experience working with institutional clients (e.g., asset managers, hedge funds, brokers) is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage follow-ups, prepare materials, and support multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Self-driven, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong proficiency in English. Fluency in another Asian language is highly advantageous in working with our Asian clients.
