Platform and Product Engineering

Brief Overview:
The Platform and Product Engineering team is in charge of solutioning and development of in-house applications 

Learning Objectives:
The selected intern would aid the team to help with research on new technologies, get hands-on development experiences using Cloud Native technologies. 

Job Description:

• Develop microservices and APIs using Kafka, JAVA and
• Develop CI/CD pipeline scripts
• Perform system testing

Knowledge and Skills requirements:

• Familiarity or experience with Git/BitBucket and Contiguous integration tools (e.g. JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible, ArgoCD)
• Experience in writing scripts, query database and troubleshooting issues
• Familiarity or experience with AWS and comfortable with Linux command line
• Familiar with design of microservice architecture, experience with managing distributed systems, middleware and PaaS is a plus;
• Familiar with cloud native stack such as Kubernetes, Container, Service Mesh, VPC etc. Experience with multi-datacenter and multi-region systems is a plus;
• Experience with Middleware Technologies (e.g. Confluent Kafka, Zookeeper, IBM MQ, Tomcat)
• Familiar with Java and security practices (e.g. key and certificate management, penetration test, vulnerability assessment)
• Working level knowledge of RDBMS technologies (e.g. MSSQL, PostgresDB)
