SGX (July - December 2024) Fall Internship Programme

Brief Overview:

The Reconciliation team is in charge of:

  • Reconciliation of accounts maintained by Clearing Houses and Depository to ensure they are in good order
  • Verification of shares scrip custodised with custodian bank to ensure they are in accordance with Depository Register
  • Verification of collaterals (LCs and BGs) to ensure the physical documents match with internal records

 

Learning Objectives:

The selected intern would be able to learn how account reconciliation is conducted and the various settlement processes across the clearing houses and depository.

 

Job Description:

Ensure reconciliation, resolution and escalation are performed accurately and within stipulated time and guidelines with zero error rate.

 

Knowledge and Skills requirements:

  • Have good interpersonal and communication skill
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office Application especially Excel
  • Have strong analytical and problem solving skill
  • Be a strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • Advantageous to have knowledge in accounting, financial services, macros
