SGX (July - December 2024) Fall Internship Programme

Brief Overview:

The COE team is basically responsible for the following in Cloud (AWS and Azure)

• Design and Development
• Infrastructure Management

Job Description:

Design and Development:

• Collaborate with cross-functional application teams to understand business requirements and design cloud-based solutions for AWS or Azure.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via Terraform/Amazon Cloud Formation/Azure Resource Manager and lambda automation scripts for efficient deployment and management of cloud resource.

Infrastructure Management:

• Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost and fault tolerance.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure data security by implementing encryption, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Regularly assess and address CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures)
• Manage IAM roles and permissions to ensure least privileged access

Cloud Governance:

• Establish baseline security requirements and apply them consistently across all cloud resources.
• Centralize, standardize and ensure consistent resource configurations to manage risks related to onboarding and deployment.

Knowledge and Skills requirements:

• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and related services
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
