Brief Overview:

SGX Group (Singapore Exchange) seeks to serve as the world’s most trusted and efficient international marketplace, operating equity, fixed income, currency and commodity markets to the highest regulatory standards. As we expand our global footprint, we are looking for a passionate and driven intern to join our Marketing & Communications team and help shape the SGX Group story and brand across the world.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic Brand & Planning team – gaining hands-on experience in corporate branding and events and corporate social responsibility (CSR) marketing.

 

Learning Objectives:

As part of your internship, you will be immersed in a wide spectrum of impactful projects and initiatives including:

Content Creation and Event Planning

  • Craft engaging content – from conceptualizing stories and social media content to web and internal communications for corporate and CSR marketing.
  • Support corporate visits, and events from high-profile Stock Market Opening ceremonies and CSR initiatives to results briefings and internal staff engagements.

 Corporate Branding and Asset Management

  • Assist in end-to-end creative development process from concepting to production of new elements, visual assets that aligns with brand identity.
  • Help manage brand assets, coordinate corporate gifts and ensure consistent brand representation.

 Market and Competitor Research

  • Conduct benchmarking and trend analysis to support branding, sponsorships, and partnerships.

Stakeholder Engagement and Project Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, sharpening your multitasking and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.

Executive Communications Exposure

  • Assist in preparing communications for SGX Group’s Executive Management Committee (EMCO) and gain insights into strategic messaging.

Understanding the Financial Ecosystem

  • Learn about the capital markets ecosystem and SGX Group’s businesses.
  • Learn how SGX Group drives innovation and development in global capital markets.

Job Description

As an intern in the Marketing & Communications unit at SGX Group, you will work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on exposure to the dynamic world of marketing and communications within capital markets.

You will contribute to strategic initiatives in the Brand & Planning team – and develop your skills through brand content and creative development, events planning for corporate marketing and social responsibility. Your work will help shape SGX Group’s corporate identity and reputation across local and international audiences.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing timelines and meeting project milestones
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholder groups
  • A creative eye and appreciation for aesthetics, able to ensure visual consistency in design execution is a major advantage
  • Attention to detail and comfort working with spreadsheets and basic metrics
  • Willingness to work outside core office hours during events when needed
  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • Fluent in English
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with creative software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or MOVAVI for basic design and video editing skills is a major advantage.
