Corporate Treasury

Brief Overview:

Corporate Treasury serves as SGX’s financial risk manager, seeking to protect the company’s value from the financial risks that the business is exposed to. These risks include liquidity risk, credit risk, currency risk, interest rate risk and operational risk. Corporate Treasury performs these activities under a structured framework with established policies.

 

Learning Objectives:

The successful candidate will, at the end of the internship, have an appreciation of:

  • Cash and liquidity management 
  • Overview on Investment Management and Liability Management 
  • Risk and controls in respect of processes and transactional flows

 

Job Description:

  • Provide support to transactional execution for fund placement, fund transfer and FX settlement.
  • Provide support to cashflow forecasting with involvement in preparation and execution
  • Provide support to collateral management with involvement in preparation and execution 
  • Assist in proper documentation for audit and reviews
  • Depending on opportunity set and candidate’s performance and aptitude, he or she may have the chance to participate in projects that enhance Treasury’s funding, investment activities and system capabilities.

 

Knowledge and Skills requirements:

To meet these objectives, you should:

  • Operationally and numerically inclined.
  • Analytical with problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of Python is not a must but a plus.
