Data Platform Engineer, Operations & Technology

Job Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated Data Engineer on contract arrangement to join the team to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions.  The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing and deployment of data ingestion, processing and delivery systems.  He/she will collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to understand the data needs and provide insights and recommendations.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include:

• Design and implement complex data pipelines and architectures for data ingestion, transformation, and distribution
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and availability across different data sources and platforms
• Provide L3 support for in-house development work and data platform/warehouse
• Perform data analysis and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Create and maintain data documentation and metadata
• Support data users and troubleshoot data issues

Job Requirements

Job Requirements include

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Strong knowledge and experience with KDB+ will be a huge advantage
• Experience with relational databases, as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and other scripting languages
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Snowflake, or GCP
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
