Data Center Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Data Centre Manager to lead the operations of our mission-critical data center. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of our infrastructure, while managing a high-performing team and delivering exceptional service to our colocation customers.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities will include

• Manage daily operations: power, cooling, security, and monitoring systems.
• Ensure 24/7 uptime and infrastructure performance.
• Lead a team of technicians—set goals, review performance, and manage schedules.
• Enforce security protocols and ensure compliance with standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and SLA performance.
• Manage budgets, track expenses, and plan for capacity growth.
• Support colocation customers with onboarding, audits, and service delivery.
• Lead infrastructure projects: installations, migrations, and upgrades.
• Report on performance metrics and provide insights to senior management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in data center operations with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure systems (power, cooling, networking, security).
• Familiar with compliance standards and audit processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience in data center selection, build, and migration is a plus.

Preferred:

• Certifications: CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, ITIL.
• Experience with monitoring tools and hybrid/cloud environments.
• Strong vendor negotiation and budget management skills.
