Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer who can analyze business and technical scenarios, design efficient solutions, and develop code to automate processes. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and communication skills, and proficiency in programming. Knowledge of controls and compliance standards is an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze business and operational scenarios to identify automation opportunities.
• Design and implement automation solutions using appropriate programming languages and tools.
• Develop, test, and maintain scripts or applications to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure automation solutions adhere to organizational standards, including security, compliance, and governance.
• Document processes, code, and technical specifications for future reference and audits.
• Monitor and optimize existing automation solutions for performance and reliability.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, PowerShell or Shell Scripting.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g. RPA platforms, scripting environments).
• Knowledge in the use of AI tool is a plus.
• Ability to analyze complex scenarios and propose effective technical solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proven experience operating cloud platforms and containerized environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes), Linux and Windows.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing or enhancing open-source dashboards and visualization tools (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana).
• Familiarity with controls, compliance, and risk management principles is a plus.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of IT governance frameworks is a plus (e.g. SOX, ISO, NIST).
• Knowledge of AI is a plus.
