Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join the Securities Exchange Operations team. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting Singapore's capital markets ecosystem while leading operational excellence, process transformation, and strategic initiatives across securities listing, trading and clearing and settlement.
The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of securities market operations, regulations, systems, and processes. An innovative and solutions-oriented leader, the candidate will drive operational resilience, manage key stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the continued development of SGX's securities market infrastructure and services.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the effective execution and governance of daily exchange operations across listings and trading, clearing and settlement, corporate actions, and issuer/member support.
- Provide leadership during market incidents, production events, and key operational activities within a 24-hour operating environment.
- Drive process reviews and operational improvements through automation, digitalisation, and enhanced controls.
- Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives to support new products, market enhancements, and platform development.
- Partner closely with regulators, issuers, members, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and market integrity.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Support talent development, provide coaching to team members, and contribute to building a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
Job Requirements
- Degree holder with at least 8 years of relevant experience in securities market operations, exchange operations, capital markets, banking, or brokerage environments.
- Strong understanding of securities markets, listings, trading practices, trade lifecycle processes, clearing and settlement, corporate actions, exchange rules, and market infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and drive change across multiple functions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven leadership experience with a passion for coaching and developing others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with AI, SQL, VBA, Python, Power BI, data analytics, or automation technologies will be advantageous.
