Assistant Vice President, Business Management, SGX FX

Job Summary

Summary

We are seeking a Business Manager to oversee and manage the regulatory, compliance, and licensing requirements of our SGX FX global operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth of our business through ensuring that SGX FX maintains the highest standards of regulatory compliance and operational excellence. This role reports directly to the SGX FX Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is part of the central management team.

Job Responsibilities

Business Development

• Enable company’s strategic vision through aligning regulatory and compliance priorities to support the business growth strategies

• Monitor industry trends and regulatory landscape impacting the FX industry to better anticipate the business impact from changing regulatory environment  

Regulatory Strategy  

• Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements
• Drive licensing application to enable our geographic business expansion

Controls environment to address business risks

• Maintain control environment to address business risks and to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, legal requirements – Include ensuring that internal policies and procedures reflect changes in regulations and effectively communicated and enforced across the organization
• Drive the operationalization of newly set-up regulated entities
• Identify and manage regulatory and compliance risks associated with running our business

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are aware of and comply with regulatory requirements

Job Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in business planning, management or consultancy
• Demonstrable competency in financial regulations, compliance management, and licensing processes within the FX industry
• Poven experience in operational excellence or business process improvement roles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
