Finance & Corporate Development

Our Finance & Corporate Development (FCD) unit is responsible for the entire spectrum of the finance and accounting function of SGX, including treasury and tax planning, the management and coordination of all management and financial reporting activities for the company including statutory reporting of the company's financial results. The unit oversees the management and implementation of investor relations programs, covering both institutional and retail shareholders of SGX. The unit also drives the corporate development agenda and develops our Indices business to seek greater commercial synergies.

• New projects such as new business investments, capital management, share buyback and accounting system enhancements. Business planning and analysis by providing insights to decision making process through analysis, financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, as well as management reporting.
• Supporting the development of the strategic plans and monitor the progress against plans.
• Financial reporting, accounting policies and advisory as well as regulatory reporting.
• Treasury and the management of money and financial risks in a business and development of long-term financial strategy and policies to support business objectives.
• SGX's investor relations strategy, so as to effectively communicate the company's corporate strategy and financial performance. Positioning and selling SGX Group as unique investment proposition among global exchanges to both sell-side and buy-side stakeholders.
• Developing investible index solutions that encompasses research, portfolio construction, backtesting, index methodology for financial product issuers. Underlying assets can include equities, equity futures, commodity futures and/or indices

Global Markets Division

The Global Markets Division ("GMD") is at the core of SGX Group's businesses, driving growth through our broad range of multi-asset offerings and expanding global presence. GMD manages SGX Group's markets and platforms across key asset classes – including Equities, Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities as well as our Indices, Data & Connectivity businesses and SGX's wholly-owned subsidiaries (SGX FX, Energy Market Company, Baltic Exchange & Scientific Beta).

The SGX cash equities market is a cornerstone of Singapore's financial ecosystem, offering companies access to capital and enabling investors to participate in the economic growth of these businesses. Our cash equities platform offers listing, trading and post trade services for a wide range of securities. GMD supports both primary and secondary market activities, providing market participants with access to capital and liquidity in a transparent, trusted environment and plays a critical role in the development of our capital markets.

Our diversified suite of equity derivatives products offers a round-the-clock Asian risk management platform enabling global investors to participate in key investment themes, including diversification into emerging markets, fast evolving AI and semiconductor technologies and monetary policy changes. SGX is the leading hub for Asian equity derivatives, offering access to key markets in the region through products such as FTSE China A50 Index Futures and MSCI Singapore Index Futures.

SGX continues to be Asia's premier venue for listing international bonds, championing sustainability standards and streamlining listing process with fast turnaround time and market-friendly regulatory framework. We work with issuers across Asia to facilitate access to capital and promote transparency in the bond market. Complementing this, our Interest Rate Derivatives segment offers products that help participants manage interest rate risks, such as futures on key Asian interest rate benchmarks. These products support risk management, price discovery, and liquidity in regional fixed income markets.

As a leading provider of global FX trading technology and Asia's largest currency futures and options market, SGX offers a full spectrum of solutions encompassing OTC FX and a dedicated futures venue for traders to manage risk more effectively. Our OTC FX platform caters to the most demanding buy-side and sell-side clients with advanced automation, risk optimization and management functions while our listed FX derivatives offer access via futures and options contracts across major Asian currencies in a centrally cleared, transparent market.

We provide trading and risk management solutions for a variety of commodity products, including bulk commodities, freight and energy. Our offerings help market participants manage price volatility and improve supply chain efficiency.

Our platform segment comprises non-transaction related businesses such as data, connectivity and other businesses. Our strategy for Data Services is centred on organic growth opportunities, focusing on expanding our global distribution capabilities through data distributors, relevant partnerships, and establishing direct engagements with consumer firms, offering SGX's enhanced analytics across asset classes. For our Connectivity business, we focus on the delivery of a modernized data centre with the next generation of co-location services to enable growth and cater for the future needs of our customers.

GMD also oversees the operations of SGX's subsidiaries, each contributing specialist capabilities that enhance our overall market offering. These include businesses focused on spot electricity market, freight indices and smart beta and factor-based index solutions.

Global Sales & Origination

Our Global Sales & Origination (GSO) unit is responsible for strengthening SGX’s position as a global brand across both private and public markets and is instrumental in contributing to the development of the capital market in Singapore. As the front-line sales unit in SGX, our team of sales specialists also serves SGX clients with the full spectrum of SGX products and services across different asset class to achieve mutual growth and success.

Operations and Technology

Our Operations and Technology unit is a strategic partner to SGX's leadership and is responsible for delivering fit for purpose solutions to grow SGX's businesses while strengthening our software development and innovation bench strength with a continued focus on resilience and optimization. The team partners with external and internal stakeholders in improving stability of our technology environment and build a stronger development and innovation capability to further our businesses.

• Software development of major Trading and Digital platforms.
• Management of SGX's usage of Cloud technologies to provide Platform Services and management of DevOps processes and tools.
• Designing, building and institutionalization of the core foundation for SGX cloud architecture as well as drive and delivery of green filed innovation initiatives.
• Cybersecurity, security design and engineering IT Policies, compliance, audit, management reporting and independent security assessment. Validating SGX security controls for both network and endpoints.
• Planning, management and production support of technology operations, IT Shared Infrastructure Shared Services and Shared Application Services and employee experience.
• Continuous process improvement towards stability by design across all domains and enabling agility via automation.

Regulation (RegCo)

Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Exchange (SGX) that undertakes all frontline regulatory functions on behalf of SGX and its regulated subsidiaries. It is committed to fostering trust in and supporting the continued development of SGX's markets.

SGX is also a Self-Regulatory Organisation. In addition to its for-profit commercial objectives as a listed company, SGX has its regulatory obligations and a public interest duty as a market regulator. The rigorous regulatory standards ensure that SGX satisfies its statutory obligations to operate fair, orderly and transparent markets and safe and efficient clearing houses.

• Regulatory listing policy and compliance with the listing rules and disclosure requirements in support of high standards of corporate governance and transparency.
• Reviews performed on applications to be listed on SGX mainboard and catalist board.

• Regulatory reform and the impact of initiatives and rule changes, in consultation with key stakeholders such as participants and our regulator.
• Formulating policies and frameworks in relation to listing matters to cater for new categories of listings and keeping pace with market developments and international practices.

Risk Management

At SGX Group, Risk Management is a business enabler which helps create sustainable and long-term value for the SGX exchange. Our risk management unit covers the broad areas related to enterprise risk management, financial risk management (market, credit and liquidity risk), risk policy and analytics, and business continuity management. Risk management is both a science and an art; it is not about risk avoidance but about achieving the best risk-reward balance for our organisation in pursuit of profitability. The Risk Management Associate programme offers the opportunity to be part of an innovative team that plays a pivotal role in safeguarding SGX Group’s operations. • Risk Control and Policy – Monitoring and managing financial risks across SGX Group’s diverse business units. This involves shaping policy, conducting both qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, and implementing proactive mitigation measures. The MA will analyze emerging risks and engage with stakeholders such as regulators, industry bodies, and ecosystem partners to influence critical risk topics.
• Analytics, Model, Quantification and Validation – Drive sustainable development of cutting-edge digital solutions to enhance risk monitoring. The MA will lead the validation of risk models, ensuring their soundness and effectiveness. Key projects include model overhaul for ARTOO margining, day to intraday pricing, and the creation of dashboards for default management, empowering SGX Group to stay ahead of evolving risks.
• Enterprise Risk Management – Shape SGX Group's risk appetite, detect new risk, and reassesses existing ones. As a second line of defense, the MA will ensure governance, mitigation, and controls are robust across various operational risk areas, including technology, cyber security, business continuity, physical security, workplace safety, third-party risks and fraud.
