Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Leader and Unit Head, this position is responsible for managing a portfolio of regulatory projects. This include:
- Work with business and regulatory units on regulatory assessments and solutions for new initiatives.
- Exercise strong initiative and good judgement in analyzing issues and solving problems.
- Conduct meetings concerning his/her portfolio which may be of a moderate to complex nature.
- Direct and co-ordinate tasks among business and regulatory units.
- Contribute to team goals.
- Deputise for team leaders on administrative matters.
- Contribute to initiatives for maintaining/improving processes and systems to ensure effective and efficient execution of unit functions.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, market professionals, solicitors, and regulators.
Job Requirements
- A good degree in Law, Finance or Economics, with at least 2 years’ experience in financial regulations pertaining to broker-dealer oversight, capital markets, clearing houses or corporate governance.
- Sharp, meticulous and accurate in reviewing and processing information.
- Able to effectively convey and communicate decisions and information clearly and accurately (both verbal and written).
- Team player with ability to work independently as required.
- Candidates with an international, multicultural and cross-disciplinary mindset are preferred.
